The Men’s Golf Association kicked off their first meeting of the year on January 19, 2008. Congratulations to the individuals below who were elected as new officers for the 2008 golf year.

The Men’s Golf Association is seeking new members. There is an annual fee of $35.00 (fee includes USGA Handicap) to join. The Men’s Golf Association intention is to serve the needs of local men golfers who do not belong to a private club. The Association sponsors weekly play days, clinics, informal gatherings, tournaments, a youth program and joint invitational’s with other local clubs.
Purpose of the Men’s Golf Association:
- To foster and promote good fellowship among the membership and perpetuate the game of golf
- To promote conformance to the USGA Rules of Golf
- To maintain a uniform system of handicapping as set forth in the USGA Handicap System and issue USGA Handicap Indexes
- To provide an authoritative body to govern and conduct Club tournaments.
2008 Tournament Schedule (dates subject to change)
- Saturday April 19th - Blind Draw Four - Man Scramble
Tournament Results - Saturday May 17th - Two Man Best Ball, Guest Welcome
Entry fee $30.00 plus $10.00 for Skins game. All must have GHIN handicap established and there can only be a 9 stroke spread in each partner’s handicap. Total $40.00 per golfer plus green fees paid day of the tournament. - Saturday June 21st - 18-hole Individual Stroke Play
Entry fee $30.00 plus $10.00 for Skins game. Cost $40.00 plus green fees paid the day of the tournament. - Saturday July 12th - Four Man Team “Mother Ball”
Entry fee $30.00 plus $10.00 Skins game per golfer plus green fees paid the day of the tournament. The “Mother Ball” will rotate between each of the players in the group. If the “mother ball” is lost, the team loses the chance to win that part of the tournament. We will also pay gross and net from the designated tee. - Saturday August 16th and 17th - Club Championship
Entry fee $50.00 for two days includes lunch and second day of the tournament, plus green fees paid the day of the tournament. - Saturday September 20th - 18-Hole Individual Stroke Play - Nassau Format
Entry fee $30.00 plus $10.00 for skins game. Winners are paid for low score on both front and back nines plus overall winner of 18 holes. Total $40.00 plus green fees paid the day of the tournament. - Saturday October 11th - Beat the Pro
Skins game $10.00 plus against the Pro. You can wager from $15 to $50. If you win, you double your wager. If you lose, you get your wager back in Pro shop gift certificate. Green fees are paid the day of the tournament. - Saturday November 1st - Two Man Trifecta
We play 6-hole each of two man best ball, two man scramble and two man alternate shot. Cost $30.00 per man and green fees paid the day of the tournament. - Match Play - Begins June 17th through August 4th, 2008. Entry fee $35.00.
